Community Publishing

Hawkesbury Press also provides assistance to individuals and organisations in the local community who wish to publish books privately for personal use or to help charities and good causes.

These have included:

  • a fundraising recipe book
  • memoirs of terminally ill people wishing to leave a written legacy of their lives
  • business-related handbooks for a private company
  • a poetry book for private distribution to the poet’s friends and relations and for handselling at events
  • a poetry anthology for our local village primary school

These books are not for sale online, but only through those individuals or organisations.

For reasons of confidentiality, we do not share details of these books here, but if you think we might help you, please don’t hesitate to contact us with details of your proposed project. If we can’t help you, we will be able to point you in the direction of someone who can.

We are pleased to have been asked to take part in the inaugural University of Gloucestershire Festival of Creative Writing to discuss community publishing.
